RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police say they've arrested a man accused of 273 incidents of graffiti over the past year.
The police department said in a statement Tuesday that 27-year-old Trevor Gibson was arrested last week following an investigation by the city's gang unit.
The department estimates the damage from the graffiti cost more than $30,000.
Police spokesman Sgt. Brian Dye says the graffiti appeared on buildings, bridges, fences and other surfaces.
Dye says it did not include gang messages but instead the tags were more artistic.
The markings have all been cleaned up or painted over.
Court records do not show charges filed against Gibson and he has no listed attorney.
Gibson did not have a publicly listed phone number where someone could be reached to comment on his behalf.
