MGM CEO Expects NBA To Come To Las Vegas Next

With the huge success of the Vegas Golden Knights, some casino executives are eyeing the next big bet for professional sports.

Speaking at a company analyst event Thursday, MGM Resorts CEO Jim Murren said he expects the NBA to come to Las Vegas in a few years.

He said it would probably be a team relocation as is happening with the Oakland Raiders upcoming move to Las Vegas.

MGM Resorts also owns the WNBA franchise the Las Vegas Aces which will start playing at the MGM’s Mandalay Bay. Murren said MGM would likely not have any ownership in an NBA team if they do come here.
