Lyft To Release Fleet Of Driverless Vehicles In Las Vegas This Summer

Lyft is set to release a fleet of driverless vehicles in the streets of Las Vegas.

The target start date is July or August, and the test routes will be center around the convention center and various resorts on Las Vegas Boulevard as well as extending into downtown.

It’s a partnership between Lyft, Aptiv, and BMW, to operate 30 BMW 5 Series autonomously.

Lyft users can select a driverless BMW as an option when they go to hail a ride.
