Police Say 3 Wounded, Shooter Held In Henderson

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) —Police now say three people were shot and convenience store employee is in custody after gunfire at a gas station near a busy crossroads in Henderson.

Officer Rodrigo Pena said the three victims are hospitalized, including two in critical condition after police were called a little before 10 a.m. Friday to the business on Sunset Road west of Green Valley Parkway.

Pena corrected his earlier account that four people had been wounded.

He says the suspect is a store employee and that officers were not involved in the shooting. He says the suspect wasn't injured.

Pena says reports that the shooting happened during a failed carjacking are not correct.

Investigators are expected to be at the scene for several hours, with Sunset Road closed.

The identities of the victims and the man who was arrested weren't immediately made public.
