The Las Vegas City Council voted Wednesday to hold a special election Tuesday, March 27, to fill the vacant Ward 5 City Council Seat.
The council voted unanimously to hold a special election to fill the post left by Ricki Barlow.
Barlow resigned in January, amid federal fraud charges being brought forth against him over the misuse of campaign funds.
Barlow said he intends to plead guilty to those charges. Filing for the election begins on Tuesday, February 13 and lasts through the following day.
