Henderson Mayor Found In Violation Of Ethics Law

Henderson mayor Debra March was found to be in violation of a state ethics law.

March failed to disclose her relationship with the Henderson Community Foundation during city council votes related to the foundation.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the three-member Commission on Ethics panel has decided that March must complete training as a punishment.

In a statement, March said the commission dismissed one of the two allegations against her and is offering to dismiss the second one without a finding that she violated any part of the state ethics code.

She acknowledged that she will work with the commission on an agreement to receive additional ethics training. The initial complaint was filed five months ago by former Henderson City Council candidate Thomas Wagner.
