Rep. Titus Signs On With Bill To Legalize Marijuana Nationwide

Nevada’s U.S. Representative from District 1 Dina Titus signed on to a bill Wednesday that would legalize marijuana in every state.

Titus signed on as a co-sponsor of a bill that aims to remove marijuana in all forms from the schedule of drugs under the Controlled Substance Act.

The bill was drafted by U.S. Rep. Jared Polis from Colorado, and is called the Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act.

It would give the Food and Drug Administration the same authority over marijuana that it currently has over alcohol.

Marijuana remains listed as a Schedule 1 drug, along with Ecstasy, heroin, peyote and LSD.
