Giunchigliani Raised More Than $1 Million In Bid For Governor

Democrat Chris Giunchigliani has raised more than $1 million in her bid to become Nevada’s next governor.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that since officially announcing her gubernatorial run in October, Giunchigliani has raised more than $800,000 - which combines with leftover campaign donations from previous Clark County Commission elections.

Giunchigliani’s primary opponent, fellow county Commissioner Steve Sisolak, had more than $3 million raised by this past summer.

Nevada has not had a Democratic governor since 1999.

Attorney General Adam Laxalt is considered by most to be the front-runner for the Republican nomination.
