The UNLV School of Medicine has been awarded a grant for over $234,000 from the Nevada Department of Public Safety to continue studying traffic-related injuries and fatalities in Nevada.
Previous studies have collected data on mopeds and scooter accidents, pedestrian crashes and teenage drivers.
This latest funding boost will help researchers from the Department of Surgery study 2016 and 2017 numbers.
Data collected from this grant funded study are used to support safety-regulated legislation in the state.
