County Considering Outlawing Pigeon Feeding

Feeding pigeons could soon be against the law in Clark County.

During their meeting Tuesday, county commissioners will consider passing a new law that would apply to both public property and residents homes.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reportsthat under the proposed law, feeding the birds would be considered a public nuisance.

It would be punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 and up to six months in jail. The goal is to keep the birds’ corrosive droppings from damaging local buildings.
