Clark County schools face another budgeting snag after a district-level accounting error regarding salaries.
Retroactive pay raises were not calculated correctly according to an email sent to district administrators and principals Monday night.
Chief Academic Officer Mike Barton wrote it’s one of the multiple issues with the manual-entry accounting system now under scrutiny.
Meanwhile, Barton recommends that school officials put budget decisions on hold “until accurate information is provided.”
This setback comes as schools across the district consider budget cuts to shore up a $60 million shortfall.
