Flood Control Channel Review Might Delay Stadium Construction

Las Vegas’s NFL stadium is already facing a potential construction delay because of a flood control culvert that runs underneath the land where the stadium will be built, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Flood control officials told the Review Journal that relocation won’t be complicated or pricey, but it must be approved by the Army Corps of Engineers.

The approval process may not be done in time for the start of construction, which is slated for November.

The channel is part of a bigger flood-control development that involves the Corps and is partially funded by the federal government.
