Stadium Authority To Tackle Parking, UNLV Use Agreement Thursday

The Las Vegas Stadium Authority board meets Thursday with a big agenda in front of them, as the clock ticks toward an October deadline.

Among the issues expected to be discussed at the meeting will be how the Raiders will share their new building with UNLV.

The first joint-use agreement was submitted by the Raiders to UNLV officials last week, in which the Raiders proposed to use nearly 80 acres of university land for game day and event parking.

The proposed stadium site at Russell Road and the I-15 only contains about 2,400 parking spaces for the 65,000 seat facility. Clark County officials must sign off on the final parking plan for the stadium.

Agreements must be signed by October in order to start the work for the Raiders to open the 2020 NFL season in their new Las Vegas stadium.
