Utah Representative Jason Chaffetz announced Wednesday he will take a new gig as a Fox News contributor after he leaves Congress on Friday.
The network announced that Chaffetz will begin July 1 as an on-air contributor and political analyst for Fox News and Fox Business Network.
Chaffetz is leaving his post six months into his fifth term as a congressman, leaving a bit of uncertainty in Utah about the process to replace him. Chaffetz said the reason for resigning his post is to spend more time with his family and possibly run for Utah governor in 2020.
