Nevada Flood Victims Have Opportunity For Low-Interest Loans

ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Nevada residents who are still dealing with the effects of flooding in Elko County have the opportunity to visit the U.S. Small Business Administration disaster center to apply for a low-interest loan.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports (http://bit.ly/2rtxJFe ) people can apply to repair or replace business property and their primary residence. The loans also can be used to repair or replace automobiles damaged during the flooding that occurred in February.

Martin Paris from Rep. Mark Amodei's office also encourages people to apply for economic injury disaster loans. Small business owners can apply for these loans even if their business was not physically damaged by the floods. If they see a loss in revenue because people don't have money to spend, they could be eligible.
