Caesars Plans To Spend $90M To Upgrade The Flamingo

Caesars Entertainment has announced it plans on investing $90 million to upgrade the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel.

The resort company will revamp more than 1,200 rooms in late August, with a projected completion date of mid 2018. Caesars is currently in the midst of a larger rehabilitation of its Strip properties, investing hundreds of millions of dollars in upgrading properties such as Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, Paris Las Vegas and Harrah’s Las Vegas.

The renovation will allow Caesars to keep up with the average price of rooms on the Las Vegas Strip, which have increased 9 percent in the first quarter to just more than $150. Las Vegas visitation also increased about 1.5 percent last year.
