Las Vegas Elections Officials Offering Sample Ballots By Email

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Election officials in Las Vegas are asking people to sign up soon to receive November election sample ballots by email instead of regular mail.

Clark County Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria said in a Thursday statement that almost 11,000 voters have already chosen to receive sample ballots electronically.

That's expected to save taxpayers about $15,000 in printing and postage costs.

Sign-ups are on the County Election Department website at www.clarkcountynv.gov/vote before midnight Oct. 8.

Other important election dates include an Oct. 18 deadline to register to vote and early voting from Oct. 22 to Nov. 4.

Election Day is Nov. 8.

There more than 950,000 active registered voters in and around Las Vegas.

Gloria says residents should check their voter registration status on the Election Department website.
