The Reno Air Racing Association is gearing up to celebrate more than 50 years of its annual competition.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports attendance projections for the 53rd National Championship Air Races are tracking 10 percent higher than last year’s event.
150,000 people attended last year, up 8 percent from previous figures.
Reno Stead Airport hosts the races September 14 th through 18 th.
