New Ads Take Aim At Cortez Masto's Support Of Iran Deal

LAS VEGAS (AP) — LAS VEGAS (AP) — New ads from a national Republican group say Democratic Nevada Senate hopeful Catherine Cortez Masto isn't concerned enough about the Iran nuclear deal she's supporting.

The commercials from the National Republican Senatorial Committee were set to launch Friday.

They refer to a televised interview in which Cortez Masto didn't cite any concerns about the agreement. A narrator says the accord gives billions to the leading state sponsor of terrorism and a country whose leaders chant "Death to America."

The group's ads aim to boost three-term Republican Rep. Joe Heck, who's running against Cortez Masto in a highly competitive race for Democratic Sen. Harry Reid's seat.
