Hsieh Would Do Things Differently If Downtown Project Started Now

Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh, who has funded efforts to revitalize Downtown Las Vegas, has said he would do things differently if he were starting the project now.

In an interview with CNBC, Hsieh pointed to new apartment development downtown as something that could have happened earlier in the Downtown Project's plans.

He also said he would have more clearly specified what he hoped to achieve with the Downtown Project, saying the original set of goals outlined were vague.

Among those goals were a high number of so-called "collisions," where people would randomly encounter each other, sharing ideas and networking while doing so.
