Mexican Blue Fan Palm provides a visually stunning but problematic accent for a pool.

An aging pool brings all kinds of problems.  Even though we love the lush look of plants surrounding a pool, Norm Schilling explains it's a potentially expensive dilemma.

A large Sago Palm brings spiny fronds into proximity to pool users. Large specimens are magnificent and very expensive to replace so Norm is going to keep this one where it is (and warn swimmers accordingly).
