Lee Tops 3 Democratic Rivals In Fundraising For House Race
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Fundraising reports due over the weekend show philanthropist Susie Lee is on the best financial footing in a four-way Democratic primary for Nevada's 4th Congressional District seat.
Lee reported raising more than $210,000 in the last three months of 2015, including a $50,000 loan to herself. She had about $647,000 on hand at year's end.
State Sen. Ruben Kihuen's campaign said he raised $152,000 in the final quarter of the year and reported about $373,000 cash on hand.
Former Nevada Assembly Speaker John Oceguera's campaign reported raising $103,000 last quarter, including a $50,000 loan from himself. He reported $204,000 cash on hand.
Former Assemblywoman Lucy Flores' campaign reported $51,000 in contributions last quarter and $84,000 cash on hand.
Democrats hope to reclaim the seat from freshman Republican Rep. Cresent Hardy.
