Elko is considering extending a ban on medical marijuana dispensaries within city limits.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports a previous ban, which went into effect in March 2014, will expire this coming March.
The city council is expected to debate extending the moratorium a further two years during a meeting tomorrow.

This comes ahead of a ballot initiative this fall that would, if passed, legalize the recreational use of marijuana in Nevada for those over the age of 21.
