Oscar Goodman Endorses O'Malley For President

Former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman is endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley.

The former Maryland governor's campaign announced Tuesday that Goodman would be its Nevada state chair. Goodman's wife, Carolyn, is now mayor.

The couple has supported candidates from both parties in the past. Oscar Goodman endorsed Democratic former Rep. Shelley Berkley in her unsuccessful 2012 Senate bid, and Carolyn Goodman has endorsed Republican Rep. Joe Heck for Senate and Democratic state Sen. Ruben Kihuen for Congress this cycle.

O'Malley's campaign also announced support from Democratic former state Assemblyman Andrew Martin and Martin's husband, Democratic activist Dana Barooshian.

O'Malley is scheduled to visit Las Vegas on Sunday to speak at a summit for Fair Immigration Reform Movement, a coalition of organizations seeking immigrant rights.
