Ted Cruz To Open Las Vegas Campaign Office

Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz is planning to campaign in southern Nevada a day after participating in the Republican presidential debate in Colorado.

The Texas senator's campaign said he'll celebrate the grand opening of a Las Vegas campaign office at 4 p.m. Thursday, and then hold a town hall at the Mountain Shadows Community Center in Summerlin at 6 p.m.

The visit comes less than two weeks after Cruz's wife, Heidi, visited northern Nevada. She celebrated the opening of a campaign office in Reno and paid the $12,500 fee Cruz must pay to participate in the Nevada Republican caucus.

Cruz himself came to northern Nevada in August for the Basque Fry political fundraiser hosted by Republican Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt.
