A group of anti-drone advocates planned to again plead their cause in a Las Vegas court following their arrests at the entrance of a U.S. Air Force base earlier this year.
About 12 protesters-turned-defendants were expected to use their individual trials Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to call for an end to the use of remotely piloted aircraft for armed missions in places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.
Most represent themselves on misdemeanor trespass and blocking traffic charges.
Several protesters arrested in March at the gate to Creech Air Force Base pleaded no contest in June, and Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa sentenced each to jail time already served.
Advocates planned protests again this week again at the base in Indian Springs, about 45 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
