LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after the motorized wheelchair she was riding was struck by a vehicle at a busy crossroads in southeast Las Vegas.

Police say the scooter wasn't in a crosswalk when the crash happened about 4:30 a.m. Friday near Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road.

The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and the driver remained at the scene.

Their names weren't immediately made public.
