The chair of the Clark County Republican Party has resigned from the state party's executive board.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Ed Williams, who became a part of the board in July upon becoming the chair of the Clark County Republican Party, resigned yesterday. He cited the executive board's lack of transparency insofar that no minutes of meetings are kept, and the board's lack of liability insurance, as reasons for his resignation.
His letter also said he requested financial statements from the committee on multiple occasions, but did not receive them, and that his resignation was triggered by the committee's lack of response to his concerns.
