Shooting Kills One In Northeast Las Vegas Neighborhood

A 34-year-old man is dead and two other men were wounded in a shooting in a parking lot of an apartment complex in a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood.

Police said Friday that two possible assailants are sought after they were seen running away after the gunfire about 8:50 p.m. Thursday on Exeter Drive. That's near East Lake Mead and Hollywood boulevards.

The Clark County coroner says Javier Ortiz-Hernandez of Las Vegas died at the scene.

Police say one man was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and a third victim with a gunshot wound went on his own to Sunrise Hospital. His injuries weren't described as life-threatening.

The names of the two wounded victims weren't immediately made public.
