Clark County Fire On Scene Of Explosion, Fire Near Strip

LAS VEGAS (AP) — One person was hospitalized with burns after an explosion at a hot air balloon site near the Las Vegas Strip.

The Clark County Fire Department said in a preliminary statement that it was called to the scene of an industrial area about a half mile east of Las Vegas Boulevard at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday.

Two propane tanks exploded at the site for hot air balloons, with flames spreading to two trailers.
