Las Vegas Metro police officers this morning shot and killed a man who jumped from a closet and lunged at them with a sharp object, the Las Vegas Sun reports.
Officers went to the 6900 block of Berkshire Place about 9 a.m. after a resident called to report a broken window, identifying a neighbor as the possible culprit, Metro Capt. Matt McCarthy said.
Two officers went to the neighbor’s home and were allowed inside. When they opened a closet door, a man jumped out and lunged at them, he said. Both officers opened fire, McCarthy said.
