Masto, Heck Ramp Up Fundraising In Nevada US Senate Race

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Democratic former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto says she's raised $1.1 million since launching her campaign for U.S. Senate three months ago.

Cortez Masto's campaign said she has nearly $1 million in cash after announcing her bid on April 8. Campaign officials say more than 6,500 people have donated to Cortez Masto, and the median donation is $20.

Republican Rep. Joe Heck kicked off his campaign earlier this week. The National Republican Senatorial Campaign confirmed he raised $572,000 in the most recent quarter before entering the race, and has about $1.4 million in cash on hand counting money from his U.S. House fundraising.
