LAS VEGAS (AP) — After six days of playing poker and outlasting 22,374 others, Lance "Cord" Garcia of Houston is the winner of the World Series of Poker's Colossus event.
On Wednesday his pair of fours turned into a full house making him $638,880 richer against Bradley McFarland of Whitehall, Pennsylvania.
The event was closely watched for its relatively affordable $565 buy-in, which attracted 5,664 players who had never played in the World Series of Poker before.
