North Vegas Mayor Denies Impropriety In Computer Images Case

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The mayor of North Las Vegas says a police report about his request to remove what he thought were images of child pornography from his tablet computer will prove he did nothing wrong.

Mayor John Lee told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he denies any impropriety. Lee had told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the images began popping up after someone sent him an email, and he contacted police because he worried they showed children being harmed.

The newspaper says an Oct. 20 investigation ended after one day because a detective couldn't immediately verify the children's ages.

Officer Aaron Patty says police are asking the FBI to review the evidence the detective found but aren't seeking a new investigation.
