LAS VEGAS - Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson says he's closed a probe of a whistleblower police lieutenant's claim that Las Vegas police administrators improperly buried a report claiming corruption and misconduct in the department aviation unit.
Wolfson released a report Wednesday saying he found no evidence of improper governmental action.
The DA says he conducted a "narrow and limited" inquiry into allegations by retired Lt. Gawain Guedry and police Sgt. Leonard Lorusso.
They claimed police higher-ups abused authority with actions that threatened public health and safety.
The DA says Guedry's report following two near-fatal helicopter crashes in 2012 was an internal document, not public, his claims had no merit, and nothing could be proved to a jury.
