Las Vegas sheriff Doug Gillespie and the Bureau of Land Management have found themselves on the same side when it comes to controversial rancher Cliven Bundy.
BLM officials say they agree with Gillespie's position that Bundy must be held accountable for his role in an April standoff against the federal agency. Sheriff Gillespie told the Las Vegas Review Journal that Bundy crossed the line when he allowed states' rights supporters, including self-proclaimed militia members, onto his property and to aim guns at the police.
BLM officials said the case remains under investigation. They did dispute the sheriff's criticism over how the federal agency handled the round-up of Bundy's cattle.
