Angle Fails To Meet Deadline

Former GOP U.S. Senate hopeful Sharron Angle has failed to meet the deadline to qualify her two initiatives for the November election. Angle helped organize two proposed constitutional amendments she hoped to get on the ballot. One would have required voters to present photo identification at the polls and the other would have banned a state health insurance exchange.

Angle's group needed to collect 100,000 signatures into the voter registrar's office by five o'clock yesterday. The petition needed to include 25,000 signatures from each of Nevada's four congressional districts.
