Clark County Revises Procedures For Investigating Inmate Deaths

There is a change in the way inmate deaths at Clark County jails will be investigated. From now on, the Las Vegas Metro Police Force Investigation Team will take the lead instead of the jail officials. This is the same team that investigates officer-involved shootings. Officials with the department said the change will help standardize internal investigations. This announcement comes on the heels of two inmate deaths this past weekend.
