Man Dies After Shootout With Metro Officer

Metro Police have confirmed the man shot by an officer Tuesday has died. The shooting occurred Tuesday afternoon outside of a home on Palm Street near Sandhill Road and Tropicana Avenue. The incident started as a barricade situation before the man came out of the house and got into a shootout with police around two o’clock. Reports show the man had called police saying he was going to die today.
