Nevada Won't Defend Same-Sex Marriage Ban

Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto and Gov. Brian Sandoval will not defendthe state’s ban on same-sex marriage. The state had filed a brief defending the law in January, and supporters of marriage equality were outraged.

But now the Attorney General says the legal landscape has changed, and consequently the state can no longer defend its ban on marriage. So why the did state officials change their minds. And what happens now?
