Prepping Parks For The Next Shut Down

The government shut down back in October for two weeks. One of the biggest losers in the shutdown was the national parks. Elko County officials are concerned that if another shutdown occurred during the peak tourist season, it would be economically disastrous. So the plan is to operate places like the Humboldt National Forest Campground with volunteers. Will the forest service go along with that?
