Story of Lesbian Literature

If you've never heard of Bold Strokes or Blue Stockings, then you probably haven't read much lesbian literature. Those are publishing houses that don't print mainstream books. Local LGBT activist and playwright Shawn Marie Bryan says lesbian lit started off at pulp fiction. She takes a look back at how it survived in underground publishing houses, and why the people reading and writing lesbian lit aren't just lesbians. Join us as we flip through the chapters of a different side of female literature. Shawn Marie Bryan speaks at the Clark County Library on June 24 at 7 p.m.
