RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Washoe County judge has ordered Reno to pay $1.1 million to owners of three homes that flooded north of town in 2017.
More than 60 homes were damaged when the Swan Lake Basin flooded in Lemmon Valley.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports Washoe District Judge Barry Breslow ordered the city to pay the owners of the three homes $931,000 for damages plus interest.

Reno City Attorney Karl Hall says the city will pursue an appeal in the Nevada Supreme Court. It's already appealing to the high court over related matters alleged in an earlier class-action lawsuit.
