Second Moderna Vaccine Delayed By Winter Weather

About 4,000 Las Vegas area residents who are scheduled to receive the second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine will have to wait a week longer.

The Southern Nevada Health District says it’s contacting patients to reschedule appointments because severe winter weather in other parts of the country has delayed Moderna vaccine shipments.

The expected shipment of Pfizer vaccine arrived on time, and second dose appointments for it will continue as scheduled.

All first dose appointments that are scheduled for this week will continue as planned. As of February 16, there have been more than 300,000 COVID-19 vaccines administered in Clark County.
