Clark County Bans Housing Discrimination For Renters Getting Assistance

The Clark County Commission passed an emergency ordinance banning housing discrimination if someone is getting rental assistance from the state because of the coronavirus.

The commission also made it illegal to deny someone equal access to rent a dwelling because of a prior eviction from the pandemic.

Commissioners also decided it’s discriminatory to deny an individual housing because of a source of income or length of employment - if it’s legal.
