COVID-19 Cases In Nevada Top 10,000; 444 Deaths Reported

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — State health officials say the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nevada has topped 10,000.

The addition of 244 cases reported Tuesday brings the statewide total to 10,030, marking the largest single-day jump since May 22. The increase also was well over the daily average during the past week.

Two more deaths also were reported Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 444.

Nevada has started loosening restrictions imposed to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Casinos, for example, started reopening at reduced capacity last week.
