Clark County Commission Considering Mail-In Ballots For General Election

Southern Nevada residents might get the chance to vote by mail again this year in the general election.

The Clark County Commission discussed November election plans in a meeting Friday.

Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria says mail-in ballots will ease the strain the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic puts on in-person polling sites.

Gloria also recommended holding early in-person voting at government sites to better enforce physical distancing guidelines.

For now, county commissioners are waiting to see the agenda for an upcoming special session of the state legislature before taking any further action.
