UNLV Medicine Looking For Patients Who Have Recovered From Coronavirus

UNLV Medicine is looking for plasma donors who have fully recovered from COVID-19.

The clinical arm of the university’s medical school said that individuals who have recovered from the coronavirus might have immune-boosting antibodies in their plasma.

That “convalescent plasma” could be used to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients. More than two dozen members of the Nevada National Guard are helping UNLV Medicine personnel test more than 300 people a day for the virus.
