Northern Nevada Could Get Coronavirus Antibody Test Next Week

An antibody test for the coronavirus is expected to arrive in Northern Nevada as soon as next week.

The test checks a person's blood for virus antibodies to see if they've had the disease.

The director of the Nevada State Health Laboratory told the Reno Gazette-Journalthat tests could arrive next week but he said there would be a limited number of tests available.

He told the Reno-Gazette Journal that gathering this information could be a public health game changer since scientists are still trying to determine just how much of the coronavirus is or has been out there.
