Lack Of Kits Forces UNLV Medicine To End Coronavirus Testing

The clinical arm of the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine says it will run out of COVID-19 test kits this week.

UNLV Medicine said in a press release it will still offer curbside testing - by appointment only - through Tuesday. Current supplies are expected to be depleted after that, but testing will resume when another shipment of tests comes in.

UNLV Medicine has tested more than 2,000 people for the novel coronavirus since March 23. Nevada health officials are reporting more than 1,800 cases, including 46 deaths.

How is Las Vegas' healthcare system really doing, and what does it mean for you and your family? Desert Companion's Health Issue takes a deep dive into these questions and explores how heart-centered business leaders prove that doing good benefits the bottom line.
